VERY GOOD SUCCESS FOR THE BIGGEST INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION IN GREECE ENERGY-PHOTOVOLTAIC 2008
With a very good success and high level organization, the 3rd International Exhibition ENERGY – PHOTOVOLTAIC 08’, is the biggest exhibition on RES in Greece.
For four days the exhibitors, from Greece and 12 other countries, had many interesting and successful business contacts.
The visitors, from many countries, were mainly investors, manufacturers, construction and sales companies on RES business.
They also were coming and from other various business sectors as state and private companies, industry, shipping, agriculture, technical and construction companies, specialists in Energy and many other fields.
Both, exhibitors and visitors, were very satisfied from the successful business contacts in their fields and the very good organized exhibition.
Opening Ceremony
The Minister of Development Mr. Christos Folias, performed the official inauguration. At the ceremony were also present, the German Ambassador Dr. Wolfgang Schultheiss, the Commercial Attaché of the Spanish Embassy Mr. Jaime Gonzalez-Torres, the Vice President of PPCR S.A., Prof. N. Hatziargyriou, the Chief Executive Officer of PPCR S.A., and Dr. A. Garis.

- The MinisterofDevelopment, Mr. Christos Folias, stated: “The International Exhibition ENERGY-PHOTOVOLTAIC has become an institution in the energy market of our country, as it has been organized for the third consecutive year. This year, the 3rd International Exhibition “ENERGY 2008”, considerably bigger than last years, with exhibitors participating from 12 countries, became a point of reference for our country’s energy market. Congratulations to the organizers”.
- The GermanAmbassadorin Greece, Dr.WolfgangSchultheiss, in his short speech pointed out that: “The International Exhibition ENERGY-PHOTOVOLTAIC 2008, dedicated to renewable energy sources and energy efficiency, belongs among the outstanding events which took place this year in Greece. This year, as well as the two previous years, more than 20 German companies participate of, in the exhibition. Moreover, this year, for the first time, there was a stand from the Federal Ministry of Economy and Technology giving a unique opportunity to visitors to get informed on the latest technological developments in Germany and to listen to speeches from well-known experts in the energy sector.
- The Chief Executive Officer of the Center of Research and Technology Manufacturing of China, Mr. Chen Yiming, mentioned amongst others: “Such high quality organisations contribute to the combat against climate change at an international level, and I wish every success to the biggest Exhibition and Conference on renewable energy sources in Greece”.
EVENTS
⇔ 3rd International Conference ENERTECH ‘08”
Under the auspices of Mr. St. Dimas Greek Commissioner for the Environment in the European Union.
The Conference had a high success with more than 80 professional speakers.
The state company PPCR S.A., was responsible for the scientific organization of the conference with the support of German - Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
⇔ German Day on RES
All visitors were extremely interested in the German Day on Renewable Energy Sources which took place on the 21st and 22nd of November 2008 at the German stand of the Ministry of Economy and Technology.
The next exhibition “ENERGY – PHOTOVOLTAIC” will be held in Athens, 22-25 October 2009.
